NORTON SHORES — The Orioles dropped a dual match to Mona Shores on Tuesday, earning one win in eight matches in non-conference play.
“Mona Shores has a very good team,” coach Rob Killips said. “It was nice to go out and compete against strong competition.”
Ava Johnson, Ludington’s No. 1 singles player, recorded the Orioles’ lone win. At No. 2 singles, Sawyer Hendrickson, along with the No. 2 doubles team of Kennedy Feyers and Lydia Kwietniewski and the No. 3 doubles team of Amaya Sytek and Maggie Tang, all lost tough three-set matches, according to Killips.
Ludington will face Fremont today in a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division match.
