Amber Township spring clean up is May 2

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Amber Township will hold its annual spring cleanup for residents only on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the township hall, 171 S. Amber Road in Scottville.

Officials said the event will end promptly at 11 a.m.

Prohibited items include tires, paint, hazardous waste, yard waste, batteries and appliances containing Freon. Commercial refuse will not be accepted.

All items must be bagged, boxed or bundled. Metal products must be separated and placed in the designated metals container.

Recyclable materials should be taken to the Waste Reduction facility.

Residents are asked not to leave garbage at the site before 8 a.m. or after 11 a.m.
