Larry Rogner
Larry Arnold Rogner, 77, of Ludington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born April 10, 1948, in Frankenmuth, the son of the late Arnold Herman Rogner and Mildred Alma Hedwig Schreiner.
Larry and his siblings, Barbara (Robert) Wenglikowski, Sandra (Dale) Muehlfeld and Robert Rogner were raised on a dairy farm in the Frankenmuth area.
After graduation Larry was drafted, went into the U.S. Army and sent to Germany. After serving, Larry had a career as a mechanic. He especially enjoyed his work at Bronners in Frankenmuth, watching Dale Earnhardt race and John Deere tractors.
Larry also worked at Kmart in Saginaw where he met and married his first wife, Linda Presley. Together they had Ken Presley, Michael (Heather) Presley, Aaron (Lindsey Adams) Presley and Jessica (Scott Larr) Rogner. The couple divorced in 1990, and in 1996 Larry met the love of his life, Karen Anthony and they were married in May of 2002. Karen’s grown children became his family, Melissa (Quinn) Sias, Annalisa (Gregory) Joyner, Roland Wireman, and Heather (David) Jackson. Larry and Karen have several grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry enjoyed helping at the New Hope Men’s Homeless Shelter in Cadillac when they lived in Lake City. When Larry and Karen moved to Ludington he joined Western Michigan Old Engine Club in Scottville. He also joined the American Legion Post 76 and the honor guard where he was active for several years.
Larry’s greatest joy was his family and spending time with them. He was loved by all and will be missed greatly.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026, with the Honor Guard Service beginning at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 76 in Ludington.
