AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after a Mason County sheriff’s deputy on patrol reportedly found him passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at US 10-31 and Amber Road Sunday, May 4, right before 2 a.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

- 9:21 a.m., (Michigan State Police), an 18-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for domestic violence, Nelson Road and US 10, Pere Marquette Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Thursday, May 1, 2025:
- 9:19 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 45-year-old Ludington man was cited for disorderly conduct, 200 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington.
- 2:59 p.m., (LPD), a 63-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, 300 block of East Foster Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Friday, May 2, 2025:
- 12:32 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Chauvez Road, overpass, Pere Marquette Township.
- 12:22 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injury, US 10-31 west of Dennis Road, Amber Township. A 56-year-old Ludington man received minor injuries after the vehicle he was operating rear-ended a slowing vehicle.
- 9:31 p.m., (LPD), a 64-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a hit-and-run crash, 200 block of West Loomis Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10:13 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Free Soil Road west of Schoenherr Road, Free Soil Township.
Saturday, May 3, 2025:
- 12:33 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 1:23 a.m., (LPD), a 66-year-old Ludington man was arrested for assault and battery, 1300 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 1:30 a.m., (MCSO), warrant arrest, 4900 block of South Stiles Road, Riverton Township. A 21-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding Muskegon County warrants following a call related to a disturbance. One warrant is for an assault charge, and the other was a civil contempt of court warrant.
- 1:38 a.m., (MCSO), a 36-year-old Manistee man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Schwass and Chauvez roads, Riverton Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 3:37 a.m., (LPD), a 46-year-old Ludington man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and violating a personal protection order, near the intersection of Tinkham Avenue and Park Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 4:09 a.m., (LPD), a 42-year old Ludington woman was arrested for methamphetamine possession, 600 block of East Dowland Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 1:36 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, US 10-31 and Stiles Road, Amber Township. A 42-year-old Manistee woman was injured after the vehicle she was operating attempted a left turn from US 10-31 onto Stiles Road. The driver of the second vehicle, a 25-year-old Custer man, was treated at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
- 4:17 p.m., (MSP), hit-and-run crash, no injuries, 2000 block of US 10, Custer Township.
Sunday, May 4, 2025:
- 12:40 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
- 1:01 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10-31 freeway north of the Conrad Road overpass, Amber Township.
- 2:06 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, 3900 block of West US 10-31, Amber Township. The driver of a motorcycle laid the bike down to avoid a vehicle that had pulled into its path. The motorcycle driver was not injured.
- 7:01 p.m., (MCSO), a 58-year-old Manistee man was cited for driving while license revoked following a traffic stop, US 31 and Hoague Road, Grant Township.
