Diane Michele (Jankoviak) Sommerfeldt (Jankoviak), 42, of Fountain, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1983, in Ludington, the daughter of Janet and Scott Jankoviak.
A 2001 graduate of Mason County Eastern High School, Diane worked many years as a line cook. On May 19, 2007, she married her husband, Tim. In recent years, Diane dedicated herself full-time to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mom, a role she embraced with love and dedication, even when facing obstacles with her health.
Diane’s life was enriched by her love for the outdoors and family activities. She enjoyed watching her daughter Leigha play sports, camping, bird watching, and taking exhilarating side by side rides, all of which brought her immense joy.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Timothy Sommerfeldt, and their daughter, Leigha. Additionally, Diane is survived by her mother, Janet; sister, Sara; brother, Mike; mother-in-law, Georgia Sommerfeldt; father-in-law, Mark Sommerfeldt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Scott Jankoviak; sister, Kristen Jankoviak; and her grandparents.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be planned at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the happiness she brought into their lives.
