Sheriff’s Office warning Stix concert goers to obey no parking areas

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is warning those attending a concert at Stix Bar this weekend to obey no parking areas, adding that motorists can expect heavy traffic in the area of Lakeshore Drive and M-116. Additionally, traffic will be congested in Ludington due to the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Stearns Park.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has authorized no parking or stopping in the area surrounding the area of Stix Bar, located at the intersection of M-116 and Lakeshore Drive, during the Uncle Kracker concert Friday, June 14.
“Those who do are subject to citations and being towed,” a statement from the sheriff’s office warns.
The areas closed for parking roadside are to include,
– M-116 from Jagger Road to Piney Ridge Road.
– Lakeshore Drive from Jagger Road to Sugar Grove Road.
– Sugar Grove Road from Lakeshore Drive to Rath Road.
– No Name Road from Lakeshore Drive around to Decker Road.
– Decker Road from Lakeshore Drive to Rath Road.
–  Rath Road from Decker to Sugar Grove Road.
– Lincolnwood Road and Golfwood Drive.
