Love Ludington weekend to take place June 7-9

LUDINGTON — The Pure Ludington Weekend will take place Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9 with a variety of events. From live music to outdoor markets, there will be no shortage of activities to keep you entertained all season long.

The event schedule includes:

  • Downtown Ludington Farmers Market, Friday, June 7, 2 to 7 p.m., Legacy Plaza
  • Love Ludington Street Party, Friday, June 7, 6 to 9 p.m. The event will include kids’ games, bounce houses, food, drinks, emergency vehicle displays, and live entertainment. A car show will be held on Ludington Avenue between Robert and William streets. West Michigan based band Onager will perform in Legacy Plaza.
  • Mason County Historical Society Lumbering History Presentation, Friday, June 7, 6:30 p.m. at the Mason County Research Center, 130 E. Ludington Ave. Historian James Jensen will discuss Mason County’s lumbering heritage. Admission is $10; free for Historical Society members. Click here for more information.
  • Lakestride Half-Marathon/10K/5K, Saturday, June 8, 8 a.m. Beginning on Lakeshore Drive/M-116 near Stearns Park. Register at http://ludingtonlakestride.com
  • Mason County Historical Society Historic Homes Tour, Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Beginning at Mason County Research Center, 130 E. Ludington Ave., walking east on Ludington Avenue. Cost is $25 per person. Click here for more information.
  • Blessing of the Boats, Saturday, June 8, 4 to 9:30 p.m., west end of Ludington Avenue. Includes entertainment tent, raffle, food truck and beverage sales. Fundraiser for Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association. Sponsored by Safe Harbor Credit Union and Ludington Bay Brewing Co.
  • Centennial celebration of North Breakwater Lighthouse includes 20-minute light show at dusk (around 10 p.m.) that will project lasers onto the lighthouse. Event sponsored by Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association.
  • Beach clean-up, Sunday, June 9, 9 to 10 a.m., Stearns Park, meet at west end of Ludington Avenue. Collaboration of AFFEW (A Few Friends of the Environment of the Earth, Sable Point Lighthouse Keepers Association, West Shore Bank, and Ludington Meijer. Volunteers who come out will receive a free pass to tour the Breakwater Lighthouse during the 2024 season.
