The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Tuesday, May 21, 2024:

  • 2:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 33-year-old Custer man was arrested for assault and battery, 2700 block of East Wilson Road, Custer Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Wednesday, May 22, 2024:

  • 9 a.m., (MSP), a 27-year-old Custer man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, 5600 block of South Eden Road, Eden Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Thursday, May 23, 2024:

  • 3:02 a.m., (MSP), a 37-year-old Scottville man was arrested on two failure to appear warrants, Brye Road and US 10, Amber Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 7:41 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of the Conrad Road overpass, Amber Township.
  • 10:49 a.m., (MCSO), larceny, 300 block of East Wilson Road, Custer Township. The complainant report the theft of items from his home while it was being watched while he was on a trip.
  • 2:14 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 and US 10, Amber Township.
  • 10:02 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Quarterline Road, Victory Township.

Friday, May 24, 2024:

  • 12:21 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 32-year-old homeless Ludington man was arrested for disorderly conduct — public intoxication following a call of a disturbance near the intersection of Dowland and Delia streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
