Volunteers sought for downtown Ludington visitors center

May 1, 2024

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to staff the downtown Ludington Visitors Center, a pivotal resource for tourists seeking information on the attractions and travel resources in Mason County.

“This is such an important role to play in our community, as our volunteers are some of the first faces visitors see and interact with when they arrive in the Ludington area,” said Brandy Miller, executive director of the Ludington Area CVB. “We want everyone who visits Mason County to feel welcomed and informed of the amazing assets this area offers.”

Volunteers will be expected to manage a weekly shift at the center, where they will provide valuable assistance to tourists. Substitutes are also sought to fill occasional vacancies in the schedule. To prepare for this role, volunteers will receive training on area events, trip itineraries, and the 2024 Pure Ludington Destination Guide – essential tools for assisting visitors in planning a trip or exploring the various attractions Ludington has to offer.

Those who are interested in volunteering should contact Kathy Fisher at 231-845-7018 or 231-233-7361, or stop by the Volunteer Fair being hosted at the Mason County District Library Ludington branch, 217 E. Ludington Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2024.
