Man arrested for strangulation assault of father

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 34-year-old Free Soil man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on a charge of assault by strangulation and for an outstanding warrant following a 911 call reporting an assault between a father and son Sunday, April 14, shortly before 8 a.m. in the 700 block of West Treml Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The warrant was a failure to appear warrant issued in Mason County. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
