Sheriff’s deputies now carrying anti-choking devices

LUDINGTON — Recently the Mason County Sheriff’s Office purchased adult and toddler anti-choking devices for every patrol car in its fleet.

“This past Christmas my wife, an RN, had purchased an anti-choking device for our kids to have in their home,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.  “This got me to wondering why we did not have any around the Sheriff’s Office or in our county patrol cars.

“Deputies and the community must have every chance to be successful and thrive. This life saving piece of equipment provides that opportunity for the deputies and community alike.  But our county covers many miles and I would further encourage folks to look at purchasing a similar device for their homes.”
