Jeff Rittenhouse

Jeffrey Kurt Rittenhouse, 59, of Ludington passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Jeff was born May 9, 1964, in Ludington, the oldest child of Kurt and Ellen (Myers) Rittenhouse. He graduated from Ludington High School with the class of 1983. He was a high school wrestler, and always had a love of bowling. He was especially proud of his 300 game he bowled.

Jeff was a lifetime Detroit Lions and Norte Dame, fighting Irish fan. Family was very important to him; he rarely missed an activity or sporting event of his nephew and nieces. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his many friends and family over the years.

Known by many family and friends as “Uncle Skippy” or “Tattoo”, he was not very big in stature, but always commanded the attention of the whole room. Jeff never hesitated to march to the beat of his own drum.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, and now they will be reunited in heaven.

He will be greatly missed by his father Kurt; sister Mary (Eric) Ferguson; brother Royce (Colleen) Rittenhouse all of Ludington and brother Paul (Jennifer) Rittenhouse of Baldwin, as well as his numerous nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held with family later this spring. Memorial donations in Jeff’s name can be sent to Lakeshore Animal Friends, as he was an avid animal lover.

Arrangements were entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, www.OakGroveLudington.com.
