Community Foundation opens spring grant round
LUDINGTON — The Community Foundation for Mason County has two funding opportunities available for area nonprofit organizations.
The Foundation’s 2024 spring competitive grant round is now open and accepting applications. The Foundation awards grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, agencies, and also governmental units serving the greater Mason County area.
All grants from the Foundation will reflect its vision to build a vibrant community with great opportunities for all and will be focused on the organization’s strategic priorities. The deadline for Community Foundation spring grant applications is Feb. 22, 2024.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC), a youth as grant makers project of the Community Foundation, is currently accepting competitive grant applications for youth-related projects. All 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, agencies, and also governmental units serving youth in Mason County are eligible to apply.
YAC funds programs that seek to meet the needs of Mason County youth in the following priority areas: youth mental health, teen stress, and youth substance use prevention. YAC competitive grant applications are due March 1, 2024.
The Youth Advisory Council of Mason County (YAC) is a collective of over 20 youth grant makers representing Mason County area high schools. Learn more about YAC here.
Both applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s online application system, GLM. First-time users will need to create a new account when logging in to complete their application on the system.
First-time and seasoned applicants interested in applying for a grant are encouraged to attend the Grant Seekers Workshop hosted by the Community Foundation for Mason County on Thursday, Jan. 11.
