Thief/thieves steal bow hunting equipment

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A thief or thieves stole a compound bow, arrows, and two archery releases from a barn located in the 7700 block of East Navajo Trail, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The larceny was reported Monday, Sept. 25, shortly after noon.

Monday, Sept. 25, 2023:

  • 6:45 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Lenz Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:43 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Logan Township.
  • 9:16 p.m., (MCSO), a 31-year-old Hazel Park man was arrested on an outstanding Friend of the Court warrant issued in Oakland County and was cited for driving while license suspended  following a traffic stop, US 10 west of Benson Road, Branch Township.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023:

  • 1:09 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the 79th District Court for larceny from a vehicle and an outstanding warrant issued by the 51st Circuit Court for contempt of court, 1000 block of South Washington Ave​nue, City of Ludington. The underlying charge is a weapons offense. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

No recent activity was reported by the Scottville Police Department.
