The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Monday, Sept. 18, 2023:

  • 6:51 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Townline Road west of Quarterline Road, Victory Township.
  • 11:10 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of US 31, Victory Township.
  • ​9:21 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 40-year-old Ludington man was arrested on outstanding warrants issued by the Masson County and Oceana County district courts, ​600 block of East Melendy Street​, City of Ludington. The Oceana County warrant was for contempt of court for a driving while license suspended, and the Mason County warrant was for probation violation. The original charge was aggravated assault and battery. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023:

  • 6:55 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive north of Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 8 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Dennis Road south of Johnson Road, Amber Township.

No activity was reported by the Scottville Police Department for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2023 and Sept. 19, 2023. No activity was reported by the Ludington Police Department for Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023.
