Chamber seeking leadership program applicants

LUDINGTON — The Chamber Alliance of Mason County is seeking applicants for a new class of Leadership Mason County, a program designed with professional growth in mind. The six-month program is set to begin in January 2024 with the main goal of equipping local professionals with the tools they need to identify dynamics/systems of the local community while developing individual leadership skills.

Professionals with a passion for growing their career and becoming actively engaged in the community can sign up on the Chamber Alliance website. Applications will be accepted until October 1, 2023.

“The Leadership Mason County program offers an extensive platform for emerging and established leaders to refine their leadership acumen and gain insight into the evolving trends, challenges, and issues confronting Mason County,” said Brandy Miller, president/CEO of the Chamber Alliance. “We invite our local businesses and organizations to identify employees who would benefit from this valuable training and collaborate with us in the coming months to engage fully in this transformative experience.”

Goals of the program include:

  • Developing personal leadership skills in order to maximize contributions to employers, organizations and the community.
  • Giving potential leaders an opportunity to meet present leaders, associate in a meaningful way with their peers, and become motivated to greater involvement.
  • Creating an ongoing forum for participants to gather and exchange ideas.

Participants must be able to commit to attend six interactive, all-day training sessions. They will visit various locations throughout the county and address topics including local government, health care, education and the natural resources, just to name a few. Through monthly deep dives into key community issues and topics, participants will have a chance to deepen their understanding of our community and further develop a mindset for leadership.
