Driver arrested for OWI following rollover crash

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — A 67-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a rollover crash on Decker and Reek roads Saturday, Sept. 9, shortly after 9:30 p.m. He received non-life-threatening injuries, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Friday, Sept. 8, 2023:

• 7 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway near the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.

Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023:

• 1:48 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 2:09 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 26-year-old Mississippi man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, 5600 block of West US 10, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 3:11 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 3:40 p.m., (Michigan State Police), assault, 1000 block of Mavis Road, Sherman Township.

Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023:

• 9:07 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, 1900 block of West Sugar Grove Road, Victory Township.
• 6:21 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway near the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
• 6:23 p.m., (MCSO), car/tree crash, no injury, Brunson Road north of Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• ​10: 08 p.m., (LPD), a 45-year-old McBain woman was cited for driving while license suspended, First and Madison ​streets, City of Ludington.

Monday, Sept. 11, 2023:

• 12:33 a.m., (LPD), ​a 24-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on a bond violation for consuming alcohol and resisting arrest. She kicked a Ludington officer and used her body weight as “dead weight” during the arrest. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail. No one was injured.
