Domestic violence arrests, damaged property complaints top police activity 

The following is recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:

Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023:

  • 12:18 p.m., damaged property, Wildwood Crossing, Amber Township. A parked vehicle windshield was broken.
  • 8:30 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Groth Road, Victory Township.

Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023:

  • 4:21 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
  • 7:54 a.m., a 24-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 5400 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township.
  • 10:28 a.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Wallace Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 1:08 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Quarterline Road, Amber Township.
  • 1:13 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 3:30 p.m., damaged property, 3000 block of West Johnson, Amber Township. The complainant reported a mailbox was set on fire some time over the weekend.
  • 8:56 p.m., ​a 36-year-old Free Soil woman was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an active fight, 200 block of East Hoague Road, Free Soil Township.
  • 9:22 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Dewey Road east of Custer Road, Sherman Township.
  • 10:28 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Hansen Road east of Victory Corners Road, Amber Township.
