Elderly couple injured in US 10 crash

AMBER TOWNSHIP — An 83-year-old Hart man and his passenger, an 81-year-old Hart woman, were both injured after the vehicle the man was driving pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle on US 10 east of Brye Road Wednesday, Aug. 30, around 12:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

They were transported by Life EMS to Corewell Health Ludington Hospital for “non-life-threatening injuries,” said Sheriff Cole.

  • 7:14 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of the Pere Marquette Highway overpass, Summit Township.
  • 10:17 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
  • 2:55 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Brye Road, Amber Township.
  • 6:30 p.m., alarm activation, Eden Township.
  • 7:41 p.m., alarm activation, Amber Township.
