U Dig It Garden to celebrate 13 years
PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A Lucky 13 Open House will be held at the U Dig It Community Garden on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon, celebrating the garden’s 13th season. The event will be hosted by members of the community garden and AFFEW (A Few Friends of the Environment of the World). Tours of the garden will take place throughout the event. Information will be provided about youth and adult programs that are offered at the garden. The event will also focus on the relationship between the garden and Lakeshore Food Club, West Michigan Community Mental Health, and Dimensions Unlimited.
U Dig It Community Garden is located behind the United Methodist Church of Ludington, 5810 W. Bryant Rd.
