Forsberg named LHS principal

LUDINGTON — Steve Forsberg has been named the new Ludington High School principal. Forsberg will replace Dan Mesyar, who recently accepted the position as superintendent of Onekama Consolidated School District. Forsberg has been assistant high school principal since 2016.

Ludington Area School District received 12 applications for the position and three were interviewed.

“Steve stood out for his familiarity with the district, as well as for his vision, his focus on relationships and pursuing excellence, and his conflict resolution skills. We are excited to see his leadership take LHS to the next level,” a school district social media post stated.

Mesyar had served as LHS principal since 2016 and had served as assistant high school principal from 2008 to 2016.
