Back to School Backpack Bonanza is Aug. 2

LUDINGTON — Staircase Youth Services and the Ludington Area Jaycees will hold its annual free Back to School Backpack Bonanza on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Ludington Area Jaycees’ Mini Golf at Stearns Park from 3 to 6 p.m.

At check-in youth will receive a backpack and can start their free round of mini golf. At each mini golf hole participants will receive a school supply. Additional perks include coupons for various businesses.

The event will also include face painting and back to school temporary tattoos. Various community groups will have booths on Stearns Outer Drive near the mini golf including a carseat inspection and carseat give-aways.

The event is open to kids in grades kindergarten through 12 (children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). The event is limited to the first 300 participants. For more information, contact Kerry Terryn at 231-843-3200.
