Police busy with crashes

The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Thursday, June 29, 2023:

  • 7:10 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 27-year-old Ludington man was arrested for non-aggravated domestic violence, 100 block of Dowland Street, City of Ludington.

Monday, July 3, 2023:

  • 5:11 a.m., (LPD),  33-year-old Custer man was arrested on two counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer, 400 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.

Wednesday, July 5, 2023:

  • 9:07 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive and Decker Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 10:55 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 58-year-old Custer man was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle and operating without insurance, US 10 and Benson Road, Branch Township.
  • 11:07 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 and US 10, Amber Township.
  • 12:55 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Bryant Road east of Sherman Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 1:42 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of cash, 7500 block of North Quarterline Road, Grant Township. The complainant reported cash stolen from a cash box used for roadside wood sales 
  • 10:19 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
