Sheriff’s weekend report, June 3, 2023

Emergency personnel responded to multiple vehicle crashes over the weekend. The following is the activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office from June 30 to July 2, 2023: 

Friday, June 30, 2023

• 2:50 p.m.: Two vehicle crash resulting in minor injuries, Jebavy Drive and Decker Road, Hamlin Township. A 44-year-old Scottville woman received minor injuries after her vehicle collided with a vehicle that had attempted a left-hand turn from Jebavy Drive onto westbound Decker Road. Hamlin Township Fire Department and Life EMS also responded. 
• 4:22 p.m.: Two vehicle crash resulting in injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and Hesslund Road, Pere Marquette Township. A 21-year-old Hart woman and passenger, a 66-year-old Hart woman, was injured when she attempted a U-turn but failed to yield. As a result, her vehicle was broadsided by a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Hart woman, who, was also injured along with her passenger, an 86-year-old Hart woman. Pere Marquette Township Fire Department, Ludington Fire Department and Life EMS also responded. 

Saturday, July 1, 2023

• 2:09 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, M-116 south of the Ludington State Park, Hamlin Township. 
• 12:59 a.m.: Two vehicle crash resulting in injuries, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township. A 36-year-old Ludington woman received non-life-threatening injuries after she attempted a left turn into the Walmart parking lot, turning into the path of an oncoming vehicle. 
• 5:51 p.m.: Two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, Pere Marquette Township. 
• 6:19 p.m.: An 18-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic violence arrest, 5100 block of Foster Street, Village of Fountain. 

Sunday, July 2, 2023

• 6 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive north of Kistler Road, Pere Marquette Township. 
• 2:40 p.m.: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and US 31 bypass, Amber Township. 
• 2:40 p.m.: Single vehicle crash US 10 west of US 31, Amber Township. 
• 8:02 p.m.: A 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, following a single vehicle rollover crash on Custer Road south of First Street, Custer Township.
