LPD weekend report, posted June 19, 2023

The following is Ludington Police Department activity over the weekend:

Friday, June 16, 2023:

• ​6:33 p.m., ​a 19-year-old Ludington man was cited for malicious destruction to property, 600 block of East Melendy Street​, City of Ludington.
• 6:44 p.m., ​a 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the Mason County courts. The warrant consisted of four counts of larceny in a building. A prisoner transfer was made at the county line and the man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, June 17, 2023:

• ​3:34 p.m., a 22-year-old Jenison, Michigan man was arrested on two outstanding failure to appear warrants issued by the 79th District Court, ​Delia Street and Ludington ​Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, June 18, 2023:

• 1:51 p.m., a 35-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without a license, Madison and Dowland​ streets, City of Ludington.
• 2:11 p.m., a 35-year-old Ludington woman was cited for driving without insurance, Harrison and Filer​ streets, City of Ludington.
• ​3:21 p.m., an 18-year-old Ludington man was arrested for a “zero tolerance” operating while intoxicated offense, ​300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington​. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. During the same incident, a 16-year-old Ludington boy was charged with retail fraud and resisting and opposing a police officer. The teen was released to his mother and will be scheduled to appear before the juvenile court pursuant to a petition.

Monday, June 19, 2023:

• ​12:16 a.m., ​a 47-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault and for interfering with a 911 call., 1000 block of East Olmstead Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. The 42-year-old victim, who is offender’s wife, sustained a scratch on her wrist. The suspect was not injured.
