The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Tuesday, June 6, 2023:

  • 12:45 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 39-year-old Branch man was arrested for probation violation, 4000 block of US 10, Amber Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Wednesday, June 7, 2023:

  • 6:35 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Free Soil Road west of Schoenherr Road, Free Soil Township.
  • 10:08 a.m., (MCSO), fraud, Scottville EZ Mart, East US 10, Custer Township. The complainant reported that a person entered the store and filled out and submitted $80 worth of Club Keno lottery tickets without payment.
  • 6:22 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Reed Road south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
  • 8:29 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property, 3800 block of East Main Street, Village of Fountain. The complainant reported a parking area and baseball field were damaged by an ORV.
  • 10:18 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road south of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.

Thursday, June 8, 2023:

  • 4:52 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Meyers Road and US 10, Amber Township.
  • 5:10 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 65-year-old Hart woman was cited for driving while license revoked, Sixth Street and Madison Avenue, City of Ludington.
  • 10:23 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Fisher Road, Victory Township.
