The following is police activity in Mason County Tuesday, May 30, 2023:

  • 7:30 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Washington Road east of Ruth Road, Colfax Township.
  • 9:52 a.m., (MCSO), a 31-year-old Branch woman was arrested on an outstanding Muskegon County failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop, US 10 and Taylor Road, Branch Township.
  • 10:40 a.m., (MCSO), a 33-year-old man was remanded to the Mason County Jail by 51st Circuit Court Judge Susan K. Sniegowski while he awaits transport to the Michigan Department of Corrections following his sentencing hearing, Mason County Courthouse, City of Ludington.
  • 6:15 p.m., (MCSO), a report will be forwarded to the Mason County Courthouse seeking simple assault charges against a 37-year-old Ludington woman.  The report alleges an assault against a 51-year-old Manistee man, US 31 near Hoague Road, Grant Township.
  • 10:09 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway north of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • ​11:30 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding retail fraud warrant issued by the 79th District Court, 300 block of North Delia Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
