Free kids’ birding hike June 3

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A free kids’ birding hike will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ludington State Park. Sponsored by AFFEW (A Few Friends of the Environment of the World) and Sable Dunes Audubon, the event is intended for children ages 7 to 12. 

Leading the hike, in search of breeding songbirds and migrant shorebirds, gulls and terns, will be Julia Chambers, president of AFFEW, and avid birders Levi and Ben Wilson of Sherman Township.
