Momentum Pitch Night is Thursday

LUDINGTON — Five finalists will present their business ideas during the Momentum Business Plan Competition on Thursday, May 25 at Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison St. The contest is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend free of charge.

One winner will take home a $15,000 cash prize in addition to $10,000 in support services. Second place will win $10,000 cash and $5,000 in support services. Finally, the audience will help select a $5,000 People’s Choice award winner during a live voting event.

Chosen from 14 contest applicants, the finalists who will present their business pitches on Thursday evening are:

• Common Grace Birth Support
• Hassle Free Restaurant Cleaners
• Side Step Farms
• State & Main Coffee
• Wave Nutrition.

Each finalist will have just five minutes to convince a panel of judges that their business idea is viable, scalable and worthy of a financial investment.

The Momentum Business Plan Competition is funded by Pennies from Heaven and administered by the Chamber Alliance of Mason County.

The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres by All Occasions Events & Floral and drinks from Starving Artist Brewing Company. Both businesses were past Momentum winners.
