Warrants sought against pair following alleged strangulation, camper trailer damage

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Warrants are being sought against a 55-year-old Flushing, Michigan man for assault by strangulation and against a 48-year-old Grand Blanc, Michigan woman for damage to property following an incident Friday, May 12, shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of South Lakeshore Drive, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The woman reportedly damaged a camper trailer, according to Sheriff Cole.

Friday, May 12, 2023:

• 9:08 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road north of Sugar Grove Road, Victory Township.

Saturday, May 13, 2023:

• 9:01 a.m.,
• (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), deputies continue to investigate a reported retail fraud after Wesco employees discovered several vape pens stolen from a display, Wesco, North Main Street, City of Scottville.
• 9:12 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 57-year-old Scottville woman received minor injuries after the vehicle she was operating went off the road and struck and pole, Dennis and Johnson roads, Amber Township.
• 7 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 43-year-old Free Soil man was arrested on an outstanding Michigan State Police felony warrant for possession of narcotics, 9600 block of North US 31, Grant Township.

• 12:54 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Hamlin Township.
• 8:05 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence, Piney Ridge near Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township.
