Police busy with warrant arrests

The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Monday, May 8, 2023:

  • 6 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Darr Road, Eden Township.
  • 7:33 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Oceana County’s 79th District Court, Anderson Street and Washington ​Avenue, City of Ludington.  He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 10:41 a.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Ludington man turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on an outstanding felony assault warrant issued by LPD, City of Ludington.​
  • 12:11 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of a cell phone, 500 block of North Main Street, Custer Township.
  • 9:09 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of North Main Street, Amber Township.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023:

  • ​1:37 a.m., (LPD), a 43-year-old Ludington woman was arrested by the Fremont Police Department on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court for disorderly conduct. Ludington police lodged the woman in the Mason County Jail after making a prisoner exchange with Fremont police.
