Fire destroys Hamlin Township house

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Five fire departments responded to a house fire at 2410 N. Lakeshore Dr. early this morning. Emergency units were initially dispatched at 12:10 a.m. Responding units included Hamlin Fire Department, Pere Marquette Fire Department, Ludington Fire Department, Scottville Fire Department, and Riverton Fire Department. 

The fire destroyed the home and fire units were on scene until after 5 a.m. Other emergency units assisting on scene included Life EMS and Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Assistance was also provided by Consumers Energy and DTE Energy.
