Man arrested for ‘super drunk’ driving following rollover crash

EDEN TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Scottville man was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content/“super drunk” driving after Mason County sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover crash Friday, April 21, at 12:30 a.m. on Darr Road south of Hawley Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The man’s BAC was .19.

Friday, April 21, 2023:

• 6:22 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Washington Road east of Brye Road, Summit Township.
• 1:24 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, 10th Street south of 11th Street, Hamlin Township.
• 5:29 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for felony probation violation, 1000 block of Brandy Lane, Pere Marquette Township.
• 4:30 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested for disorderly conduct — public intoxication, 400 block of East Second Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:53 p.m., (MCSO), ​retail fraud, Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The complainant reported a female left the store without paying for several items. The case remains under investigation.
• 9:10 p.m.,  (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road north of Groth Road, Victory Township.

Saturday, April 22, 2023:

• 4:43 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
• 9:24 a.m., (MSP), a 33-year-old Wayland, Michigan man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), US 10 and Gordon Road, Amber Township.
• ​1:53 p.m., (LPD), ​a 23-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant issued in Manistee County, 600 block of North Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington. The man was turned over to the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Manistee County Jail.
• 4:54 p.m., (MSP), a motorist (suspect information unavailable) was cited for DWLS, US 10 and Gordon Road, Amber Township.

Sunday, April 23, 2023:

• 5 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, First Street west of Reinberg Street, City of Scottville.
• 10:13 a.m., (LPD), a 36-year-old Ludington man was arrested for probation violation, ​700 block of North Delia Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:30 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road west of Lister Road, Riverton Township.
