MCC Forensics Team finishes regular season

SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central High School’s Forensics Team ended its invitational season last weekend during the Spartanational Tournament at Michigan State University in East Lansing. 

The MCC Spartans took third Place in the “Big 10” or large school division for sweepstakes and was fourth overall out of 22 schools in the sweepstakes points. 

Student final placements are listed below:

  • Duo Interpretation, Sophia Edmondson and Lucy O’Harra, seventh place
  • Impromptu 9/10, Riley Moritz, sixth place
  • Poetry, Helena Snell, fifth place
  • Prose, Holly Bowen, fourth place
  • Storytelling Open, Adriana Donahue, fifth place

Student semi-finalists were Hunter Ohrling and Savannah Kwiatt in Informative, placing sevent and 11th respectively. Other students in attendance saw great improvement and are in a good place as we head into the regional competition this weekend and prepare for the state competition.
