Warrant and probation violation arrests top police activity

The following is police activity in Mason County Tuesday, March 28, 2023:

• 3:03 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Free Soil Township.
  8:21 a.m., (MCSO), deputies were assisting the Michigan State Police on a domestic violence call when they came in contact with a 23-year-old Brethren man who was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued in Monroe County, Rodeway Inn, 5000 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The suspect was arrested without incident.
• ​10:34 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 32-year-old Montague man was arrested at the Oceana County Jail on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the 79th District Court, City of Hart. The original charge was for driving without a license. Ludington police took custody of the man at the Oceana County Jail and lodged him in the Mason County Jail.
• 6:29 p.m., (MCSO), a 39-year-old Scottville man was arrested for probation violation, 400 block of North Thomas Street, City of Scottville.
• 7:44 p.m., (MCSO), a 45-year-old Ludington man was arrested for probation violation after he was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. That case is currently being investigated by probation/parole agents.
• 7:50 p.m., (LPD), ​a 37-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding warrants, 200 block of East Second Street​, City of Ludington. One warrant issued in Kent County is for failure to pay child support, and the other warrant was issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court for failure to appear on an assault and battery charge. The man was also charged with resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
