Mount Pleasant man injured in rollover crash

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — A 41-year-old Mount Pleasant man was transported by Life EMS to Corewell Health Ludington Hospital (formerly Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital) for non-life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash in icy road conditions Monday, Feb. 27, at 10:10 a.m. on US 31 near Meisenheimer Road, according to Mason Undersheriff Derrek Wilson

“Deputies also responded to multiple downed lines, trees and vehicle slide-off complaints due to the weather conditions,” said Undersheriff Wilson.

Also responding to the scene was Pere Marquette Township Fire Department and Ludington Fire Department.

The following is other police activity Mason County Monday, Feb. 27, 2023:

  • 3:44 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Walhalla Road near 1st Street, Branch Township.
  • 10:38 p.m. (Ludington Police Department), ​a 24-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for domestic assault, 300 block of South Rowe Street​, City of Ludington. The victim, a 29-year-old Ludington man, sustained a swollen and cut lower lip, said Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski..The offender sustained a scrape and cut to her hand. Neither the offender nor the victim sought medical care. The woman was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
