Slushy roads cause crashes

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office reported numerous traffic crashes on slushy roads Thursday, Feb. 9. No injuries were reported.

The following is MCSO activity Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023:

• 9:21 a.m., a 24-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the Ludington Police Department, 2300 block of East US 10, Custer Township.
• 2:17 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of US 10, Amber Township.
• 2:25 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Stiles Road near Decker Road, Victory Township. A vehicle left the road and struck a fire hydrant.
• 2:50 p.m., one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Pere Marquette Highway on-ramp, Pere Marquette Township.
• 2:55 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Iris Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• 3:07 p.m. one-vehicle crash, no injury, Decker Road and Rath Avenue, Hamlin Township.
• 3:49 p.m., vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, southbound US 31 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 3:52 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of US 10, Amber Township.
• 4:06 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Chauvez Road west of Brunson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• 4:30 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Gordon Road north of Hansen Road, Amber Township.
• 4:50 p.m., one- vehicle crash, no injury, Bean Road north of Johnson Road, Custer Township.
• 5:17 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive and Kansas Street, Hamlin Township.
