Passing of counterfeit $100 bill attempted at Dollar General

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A person attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at the Dollar General store on East US 10 Thursday, Jan. 26, shortly after 1:30 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

No arrests have been reported in connection to the crime.

• 8:17 a.m., (Ludington Police Department) a 15-year-old Ludington boy was petitioned to the Mason County Juvenile Court for domestic assault and battery against a 49-year-old Ludington woman, Tinkham Avenue and Monona Drive, City of Ludington. No injures reported.
• 7:56 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), ​vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, Benson and Hansen roads, Branch Township.
• 8:37 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Brye Road, Amber Township.
• 8:45 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, Lincoln Road and Sassafras roads, Hamlin Township.
• 10:43 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage or injury, Fountain Road west of US 31, Victory Township.
• 7:02 p.m., (MSP), a 54-year-old Spring Lake man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, US 31 and Washington Avenue, Summit Township.
• 8 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Basin and Walleye streets, Hamlin Township.
