Obituary: Jeremiah Meyers, 41, of Ludington

Jeremiah Philip Meyers, 41, of Ludington, formally of Essexville, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Jeremiah was born on October 21, 1981, in Barbourville, Kentucky. He was a 1999 graduate of Garber High School, in Essexville. Jeremiah enlisted in the National Guard and proudly served his country for many years. In 2004 he was ordered to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, working as a Field Artilleryman. He was honorably discharged in 2009.

Jeremiah was an avid outdoorsman. He could often be found on the lake and river fishing, or hunting on the property.  He was a member of St John Cantius Catholic Church in Free Soil. 

Jeremiah is survived by his daughter, Jayden Meyers; son, Devin Tye; parents, Joe and Denise Meyers; brothers, Ken (LeAnn) Meyers and Kyle Meyers; and sister, Christina Rittenburg.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Free Soil, with Rev. Daniel DePew presiding. Visitation will begin at 10am at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jeremiah’s daughter, Jayden Meyers or Walking with Moms in Need.
