Donate toys, food to ‘Stuff the Blue Goose’

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post are “stuffing the blue goose” Friday, Dec. 2, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot to benefit the less fortunate in the Hart and Ludington areas.

“We have long referred to our patrol car as a ‘Blue Goose,’ and we hope to stuff the patrol car full of new toys and non-perishable items this year,” said Trooper Todd Goodrich.

“We are planning to have a Michigan State Police patrol car situated at the Walmart store in Ludington. We will have troopers at this location accepting the donations.

“Our goal is to collect as many new toys and food items as possible during this five-hour period,” said Trooper Goodrich. “All the donated items will be turned over to the Salvation Army for distribution to the families in need.”
