Sheriff’s office searching for missing Scottville man

UPDATE: Mr. Holden has been located safe.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is currently attempting to locate Denis Holden, 81, of Scottville, who is missing. Holden is a delivery driver for Sanders Meats of Custer. Today, Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. he left Sanders Meats driving a Ford F-350 company vehicle to make 13 deliveries in the northern Michigan area. 

Deliveries were supposed to be made to Wellston, Cadillac, Boon, Reed City, Hersey, Honor, Stanwood, Sand Lake, Bitley and Walkerville. None of the businesses today have received their deliveries.

Holden and the Sanders Meat truck were possibly seen in the Irons/Wellston area around noon today. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mason-Oceana 911 at 231-869-5858 and ask to speak with Sgt. Adam Lamb.
