Shed fire spreads to two other structures

LUDINGTON — Firefighters were on scene of a multi-structure fire for nearly six hours overnight. The original fire was reported as a shed fire near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Melendy Street. Emergency crews were called to the scene about 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival of the first Ludington Fire Department unit, the fire had moved to two neighboring residents. 

Pere Marquette Township Fire Department and Hamlin Township Fire Department were both called to assist. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fires and cleared the scene about 4 a.m. Friday.
