The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, Sept. 9, 2022:

  • 3:31 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Branch Township.
  • 6:13 p.m., (MCSO), attempted damaged property/harassment, Thomas Street, City of Scottville. The complainant reported that someone had thrown nails and screws in a driveway behind a vehicle.

Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022:

  • 7:51 a.m., (MCSO), larceny, Stolberg Road and 30th Street, Sheridan Township. The complainant reported the theft of a chainsaw.
  • 3 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Dennis Road, Amber Township.
  • 8:58 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jagger Road and Ridge View Court, Hamlin Township.
  • 11:40 p.m., (MCSO), domestic violence, LaSalle Road and Forest Trail, Grant Township. A report was forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • ​11:45 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 39-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued in Mason County on a charge of domestic assault and battery, 300 block of North Delia Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022:

  • 3:10 p.m.,  (MCSO), ​a 25-year-old Custer man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County warrant on an assault charge, High St (Village of Custer)
