Chamber dinner to honor businesses and volunteers. 

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual award dinner and ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 22 at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. 

Awards for Community Service, Mason County Business of the Year, Mason County Small Business of the Year and the chamber’s Future Five will be presented. 

The Business of the Year Award is presented to a business with 20 or more employees. Finalists are House of Flavors, Inc. and Safe Harbor Credit Union. Small Business of the Year finalists are Gip N Rip Disc Golf, Lakeside Weiner Wagon/The 10 Spot, Ludington Yacht Sales and WMOM. 

Community service finalists are COVE (Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters), Tom and Patricia Ezdebski, Friends of Ludington State Park, and TWIG (Together We Inspire Giving) Hospital Auxiliary. 

Future Five are individuals who are currently influencing growth, prosperity and quality of life in Mason County and demonstrate the ability to positively impact the area in the future through professional accomplishments and community involvement. To have been considered for the award, nominees must have been under the age of 40 by December 31, 2021. The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has named the 2022 class to include Marissa Barnett, Elliott Plummer, Alex Richert, Brittany Septrion, and Patti Skinner.

Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Award ceremony will follow dinner. Reservations for the annual awards dinner can be made at ludington.org or by calling the Chamber office at 231.845.0324.
