Obituary: Phyllis Schwartz, 93, of Ludington.

Phyllis J Schwartz, 93, of Ludington, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. Phyllis was the daughter of Clarence and Reva (Grubb) Folland. She was married to Warren Schwartz Sr. 

Phyllis worked at Consumers Power Pumped Storage Project and was the Riverton Township clerk for some time before retiring from Pro Gas. She was a member of Riverton Helping Hands and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved making beautiful creations by sewing, knitting, or crocheting. Phyllis loved to read and play cards with friends and family. 

Phyllis is survived by her children, Patricia (David) Reinking, Warren A. (Suzy) Schwartz Jr., Sherrie VanConant, and Robby (Kathie) Schwartz; grandchildren, Melissa (Kenneth) Rockwell, Julie (Kenneth) Scully, Travis (Alison) Schwartz, Arin (Russell) Scholtens, Daniel Schwartz, Heather (Jeff) Krish, Julia Schwartz, and Katilin Schwartz; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Rayle; and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Schwartz Sr., parents, a sister, and a brother-in-law. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Center Riverton Cemetery on Hawley Road in Riverton Township, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. A luncheon will follow at Riverton Township Hall.
