Fake $100 bill passed at golf course.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint of a ​counterfeit $100 bill that was passed at Lakeside Links Golf Club located in the 5300 block of West Chauvez Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

It was reported Thursday, July 28, at 9 a.m.

  • 11:46 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $54.01 in fuel was stolen, Ludington EZ Mart, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 2:19 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 41-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested on an outstanding Friend of the Court warrant issued by Kent County, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 4:59 p.m,. (MCSO), ​a 37-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license was suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:19 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 57-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) following a traffic stop, US 10 and First Street, Branch Township. Her BAC was .21, said Sheriff Cole.

Sunday, July 31, 2022:

  • ​10:42 a.m., (LPD), ​a 49-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without a license, Madison and First​ streets, City of Ludington.
  • 3:54 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Decker Road west of Sherman Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 4:48 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Fountain and Budzynski roads, Sheridan Township.
