Shelby State Bank announces promotions.

SHELBY — Shelby State Bank recently promoted three people. They include: 

Mary McDonald. McDonald, branch manager, has been promoted to branch officer of the Fruitport office. McDonald began her career with Shelby State Bank in 2008 as a teller. She has served in multiple roles including teller, customer service representative, personal banker, and branch manager. McDonald also serves as a volunteer for the Muskegon Rescue Mission, Feeding America, Harbor Hospice, and as an Awana Guards director for her local church. 

Amanda Adams

Amanda Adams. Adams, branch manager of the Pentwater office, has been promoted to branch officer. Adams began her career in a similar way as McDonald. She started her career with Shelby State Bank in 2008 as a teller, then personal banker and most recently as branch manager. Adams grew up in the area and has stayed involved in the community throughout her career. She currently serves as a board member of the Pentwater Chamber of Commerce. 

Miriam Reyna

Miriam Reyna. Reyna has been promoted to branch officer of the Hesperia Office. Reyna has held various positions at Shelby State Bank beginning as a seasonal teller in 2016. She has continuously advanced since then, including roles as loan operations clerk, assistant branch manager in the Whitehall Office, and most recently as the branch manager in Hesperia. She stays involved in and around the Hesperia community as well as various other community projects in our service area.

Shelby State Bank was established in 1931, and has grown to operate ten branches in west Michigan stretching from Fruitport to Manistee. Each branch offers a wide variety of deposit accounts, consumer loans, residential mortgage lending, and business banking services.
