Obituary: Dennis Wahr, 70, of Scottville.

Dennis A. Wahr, 70, of Scottville, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born March 8, 1952 in Manistee to Richard and Lorraine (Moser) Wahr. He graduated from Manistee High School in 1972.

Dennis married Linda Schramm on September 22, 1979 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Scottville. Together they raised two sons. He worked for Pentwater Wire for 37 years, retiring at the age of 65.

Dennis loved to tinker with lawn mowers and cars. He enjoyed a trip or two to the casino with his wife, Linda, but his favorite thing to do was spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Dennis was a happy-go-lucky guy who always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker and he lived a long, happy and full life.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda; his sons, James (Amber) Wahr of Ludington and Nathan (Alyssa) Wahr of Scottville; his grandchildren, Masin, Nathan, Rayden, Bentley, and Lillian; his siblings, Darwin (Cindy) Wahr, Kathy (Don) Thompson, Ronald “Randy” (Cheryl) Wahr, and Nanette (Fred) Shultz; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Peggy Schramm.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Family will greet friends starting at noon.
