Thursday, June 23, 2022:

  • 4:23 p.m., (Michigan State Police), car/tractor crash, no injuries, 8000 block of Darr Road, Free Soil Township.

Friday, June 24, 2022:

  • 5:46 a,m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 38-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic assault, City of Scottville.
  • 8:43 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of a white cornhole game set with a light attachment, Juanita Avenue, Pere Marquette Township.
  • ​1:45 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested for breaking and entering of a garage, 600 block of East Dowland Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 2:23 p.m., (MSP), fraudulent cashier’s check and credit card, Point North RV, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:23 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, Pere Marquette Highway and Hesslund Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:30 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, Marrison and Stiles roads, Riverton Township.
  • 10:44 p.m., (MCSO), a 19-year-old Manistee man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in 79th District Court, Countyline Road near US 31, Grant Township.
  • ​11:22 p.m., (LPD), ​a 22-year-old Chesaning, Michigan man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Ludington Avenue and Staffon​ Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, June 25, 2022:

  • 1 a.m., (MCSO), assist, Nordhouse Dunes camping area. “The caller called 911 and reported while camping she believed a bear was outside her tent. Gaining courage to shine a light outside, she noticed a raccoon was in her food supplies,” said Chief Deputy Oscar Davila. “Nothing further was needed.”
  • 3:08 a.m., (MCSO), a 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after a traffic stop, US 10 near Stiles Road, Amber Township.
  • 8:12 a.m., (MCSO), failure to report an accident, 1800 block of East Millerton Road, Sherman Township. The caller reported a vehicle in that area with heavy damage to it with no one around. Attempts to make contact with the owner are still ongoing, said Davila.
  • 1:54 p.m., (MCSO), a 41-year-old Free Soil man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after a traffic stop, Jebavy Drive and Decker Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 5:43 p.m., (LPD), ​a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, 700 block of East Dexter Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. No injuries were reported.
  • 6:06 p.m., (MCSO), vehicle crash, no injuries, Fountain and Custer roads, Sherman Township. A northbound driver on Custer road sideswiped vehicles while passing, said Davila. A hazardous action was issued.
  • 6:20 p.m.,  (MCSO), car/deer crash, US 31 and Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.
  • 7:14 p.m., (MCSO), noise complaint, Lakeshore Drive, Hamlin Township. The caller stated she wanted to file a formal noise complaint coming from the Stix Bar.
  • 10:39 p.m., (MCSO), vehicle crash, no injuries, Sugargrove and Benson roads, Sheridan Township. “The driver had a medical issue which caused him to be unable to negotiate the curve onto Sugargrove Road from Benson Road,” said Davila. “He ran off road and struck a dock, before coming to rest in Round Lake. The driver was sent in for a driver re-exam.”

Sunday, June 26, 2022:

  • 2:33 a..m., (MCSO), a warrant is being sought for a 55-year-old Scottville man for domestic assault, Gordon Road near Sugargrove Road, Victory Township.
  • 11:50 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, City of Scottville. A driver failed to pay for 7.41 gallons of gas valued at $36.60. He was an older, white male driving a white-colored Chevrolet pickup truck.
  • 6:18 p.m., (MCSO), reckless driving complaint, Lincoln Road near Sugargrove Road, Hamlin Township. The caller reported two dirt bikes driving recklessly, and the riders were harassing the caller who was walking in the area. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the dirt bikes.
  • ​9:21 p.m., (LPD), ​a 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested for violating a no contact order stipulated in his probation order, Court Street and Rath​ ​Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 10:58 p.m., (MCSO), assault, 5000 block South Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township.
