The following is activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend:

Friday, June 17, 2022:

  • 8 a.m., breaking and entering, 2700 block of North US 31, Victory Township. The complainant stated that someone entered his building and took tools in a toolbox, vehicle parts and an extension ladder some time between June 12 and June 17.
  • 12:51 p.m., a 29-year-old Branch Township man was arrested on several warrants — probation violation in Isabella County; contempt of court in Isabella County; a traffic offense in Mason County; and a traffic offense stemming from a Michigan State Police, Hart post arrest, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.
  • 1:34 p.m., gas drive-off, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The 911 caller reported that a gray Chevrolet pickup truck pumped $52.97 worth of fuel and left without paying. The caller reported the truck had the name Stone Coat Epoxy Counter Tops written on  it. The business name was not located.
  • 10:53 p.m., a 41-year-old Fountain man was cited for possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop, 2000 block of North Benson Road, Sheridan Township.
  • 11:09 p.m., a 45-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an Allegan County warrant for violating a court order, US 10 and Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail for transport to Allegan County Jail.

Saturday, June 18, 2022:

  • 10:57 a.m., trespassing, 5000 block of West Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township. The 911 caller reported there were subjects on his property. The case is open pending identification.
  • 9:10 p.m., a 44-year-old Free Soil man was cited for failure to appear on a traffic violation in St. John’s Michigan.
  • 10:29 p.m., a 911 caller reported loud music in the area of Colburn Road in Hamlin Township. Contact was made, and they volunteered to turn it down.

Sunday, June 19, 2022:

  • 1:02 a.m., a 34-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for methamphetamine possession after a traffic stop, US 10 at Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 11:33 a.m., single-vehicle crash, Freeman and Campbell roads, Meade Township. The caller lost control the vehicle; ran off the road; and struck a tree.
  • 1:18 p.m., 911 caller advised that a subject was staying in his camper on his property, and he was not welcome to stay, Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township. The subject was asked to leave and did so without further issue.
  • 3:38 p.m., single vehicle rollover crash, no injuries, US 31 off-ramp to westbound US 10, Amber Township.
  • 7:08 p.m., a 36-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested for assault and battery, City of Scottville.
  • 8:15 p.m., car/deer crash, US 31 and Johnson Road, Amber Township.

Monday, June 20, 2022:

  •  6:40 a.m., car/deer crash, Stiles Road near Decker Road, Amber Township.
